Refund Policy, Cancellations, Substitutions
If you need to cancel your conference or expo registration you may do so for a full refund, until Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Attendees who register after the deadline date or who do not cancel in writing by the deadline date are liable for the pass cost and will be charged for the full registration fee. Sorry, no refunds are available for no-shows. If you are unable to attend the event, we recommend that you send a substitution in your place. Changes to registrations must be presented in written form.

Children at The Show
Due to safety concerns, no one under the age of 16 (including infants in strollers) will be permitted on the show floor at any time during the Code(Her) Conference.
If you require special assistance, auxiliary aids, interpreters or other reasonable accommodations while at the conference and/or expo, please contact Estela Rueda at firstname.lastname@example.org at least one week prior to the event date.
Discount Code Policy
Discount codes cannot be combined with other discount promotions, including group discounts, alumni rates, exhibitor discounts, other special discount offers or previously purchased or registered passes – unless stated. All discount codes are subject to review and are limited to one discount per registration.

This year’s conference will take place at the Microsoft DC Headquarters at 5404 Wisconsin Ave, Suite 700, Chevy Chase, MD 20815. Near the Friendship Heights Metro Station (Red line).
Due to limited parking, it is recommended that you take the Metro (Friendship Heights Metro Station – Red line).
If you plan to drive, there is a garage underneath the Microsoft building.
Cost is $17 per day. You can take an elevator straight to the lobby then another to the 7th floor.
Registration begins at 8am – 9am.
Please bring a copy of your registration receipt (either printed or digital) when registering.
Conference After-Party & DCWW Awards Ceremony
Following the conference there will be a After-Party. The event starts at 6:30pm and ends at 9pm. The Code(Her) Conference After-Party is open to anyone – including people who did not register for the conference. All conference attendees are automatically registered for this event.
Important Session Info
Many of the coding/development sessions require access to a laptop or tablet computer. So please bring a laptop or tablet as the conference organizers and Microsoft will not be able to provide one for you.
Also be make sure you bring your phone charger and/or laptop battery charger.
Free WiFi will be provided.
Due to the popularity of some workshops, certain rooms will fill up fast. Seating will be based on a first-come, first-seated basis. If you arrive to the conference after a workshop has started you may not be able to attend a session if it has filled up to capacity. There is no guarantee of being seated. You may not hold a space for someone who has not arrived yet to the conference.
3. Presentation Slides, Handouts & Video
The conference organizers will do their best to share any session presentation slides, handouts or video post-conference with attendees.
However, there is no guarantee conference organizers can share all presentation slides, handouts or video. So attendees should make it a point to take copious notes during the workshop.
It is recommended that all attendees use the time before and after the conference and in-between sessions to meet fellow attendees and network. There is also an opportunity to network at the post-conference After-Party and DCWW Awards.
Be sure to bring plenty of business cards or any company/personal collateral to share with other Code(Her) Conference goers.
Code of Conduct
A primary goal of the Code(Her) Conference is to be inclusive to the largest number of contributors, with the most varied and diverse backgrounds possible. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and religion (or lack thereof).
This code of conduct outlines our expectations for all those who participate in our community, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.
We invite all those who participate in the Code(Her) Conference to help us create safe and positive experiences for everyone.
2. Code(Her) Citizenship
A supplemental goal of this Code of Conduct is to increase citizenship by encouraging participants to recognize and strengthen the relationships between our actions and their effects on our community.
Communities mirror the societies in which they exist and positive action is essential to counteract the many forms of inequality and abuses of power that exist in society.
If you see someone who is making an extra effort to ensure our community is welcoming, friendly, and encourages all participants to contribute to the fullest extent, we want to know.
3. Expected Behavior
· Participate in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you contribute to the health and longevity of this community.
· Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.
· Attempt collaboration before conflict.
· Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
· Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert community leaders if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.
4. Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behaviors include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning speech or actions by any participant in our community online, at all related events and in one-on-one communications carried out in the context of community business. Community event venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations.
Harassment includes: harmful or prejudicial verbal or written comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
5. Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior from any community member, including sponsors and those with decision-making authority, will not be tolerated.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
If a community member engages in unacceptable behavior, the community organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from the community without warning (and without refund in the case of a paid event).
6. If You Witness or Are Subject to Unacceptable Behavior
If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify an organizer as soon as possible (contact info below).
Additionally, community organizers are available to help community members engage with local law enforcement or to otherwise help those experiencing unacceptable behavior feel safe. In the context of in-person events, organizers will also provide escorts as desired by the person experiencing distress.
7. Addressing Grievances
If you feel you have been falsely or unfairly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you should notify the DC Web Women (DCWW) Steering Committee with a concise description of your grievance.
We expect all community participants (contributors, paid or otherwise; sponsors; and other guests) to abide by this Code of Conduct in all community venues—online and in-person—as well as in all one-on-one communications pertaining to community business.
